Wait… It isn’t pronounced do-deck? How is it pronounced?? I’m Rombough. Not rombo. Not Rambo. Or Romberg. Or Rom-Bo-guh. Rom-Bo. Easy.

thats right, but I often get “dud-ick” or ” dude-ick” or my all time favorite lazy attempt, ” dude-Kay” XD no one ever knows how to spell it when I tell them my name. When I was in basic training, one of my drill sergeants was like ” I’m not even going to bother trying. Your name is private Dude.” and so I was, and still called ” Dude” by the soldiers I went to basic with.
the other problem I run into is “Johny”. Everyone always spells it with two N’s as thats how it is traditionally spelled. I spell it with one because the second N is grammatically pointless. And even if its spelled correctly directly in front of them, even my friends and family spell it wrong -.-

Alison, Allison, Alyson, Alyssa, y’know. Anything but Allyson.

well this is awkward. I always thought it was spelled ” Dave”

Common misconception I forgive you, Johny
